Tamara draws on extensive training in the Wilson Reading System, Fundations, Singapore Math, The Writing Revolution, and Reading and Writing Workshop. She also has experience teaching with social–emotional learning frameworks such as Social Thinking, RULER,
Zones of Regulation, and Kimochis to promote focus and resilience.

Certified as a Wilson Dyslexia Practitioner and completing her Post-Master’s Certificate in Educational Therapy at UC Riverside, Tamara combines warmth, structure, and data-driven methods to help each student thrive. She is also a certified Pilates instructor who values the connection between movement, focus, and learning—principles she weaves into her educational therapy practice.
What is Educational Therapy?
Educational therapy provides individualized support for students with diverse learning challenges. It targets foundational skills—such as reading, writing, and math—using evidence-based methods like structured literacy and multi-sensory approaches to strengthen learning. It also builds important cognitive skills like attention, memory, organization, and reasoning.
Through a strengths-based approach, students develop metacognitive skills, learning to understand their own thinking and build confidence and independence. As underlying skill deficits are addressed, students reach their full potential and find their ability to apply knowledge in academic settings improves. Educational therapy involves collaboration with families, teachers, and professionals, with the ultimate goal of equipping learners to become independent and successful beyond therapy.
